Last Man’s Club celebrates 50 years

The Vietnam Last Man’s Club of the Lehighton American Legion Post 314 will hold its 50th annual banquet on Saturday.

The dinner program at the Legion begins at 6 p.m.

The main speaker is retired Col. George H. Duell Jr. of Palmerton.

Army Reserve Ambassador Duell is a retired education administrator with leadership positions on area and state administrative groups.

He serves as a consultant to area media and is active with various veteran organizations and community groups.

Dale Nansteel Jr., president of the Last Man’s Club, will be in charge of the program.

Entertainment will be provided by the band Bee’s Knees, playing music from the ’60s and ’70s, when the Vietnam War was fought.
