LCCC’s manufacturing program honored at national conference
Thomas Bux, director of Workforce Development, and Donald Worman, manufacturing instructor at Lehigh Carbon Community College, presented at the 2018 National Bellwether Futures Assembly in January on the college’s new mobile training lab that helps to develop talent pipelines in the manufacturing sector in the Lehigh Valley.
The Bellwether Futures Assembly is a national conference sponsored by the National Council for Continuing Education and Training.
The Bellwether Award is awarded annually for innovative programs in workforce development, instructional programs and services, and planning, governance and finance.
LCCC’s Mobile Manufacturing Lab was chosen as one of 10 finalists in the country for this prestigious award in the category of workforce development. The conference attendees included educators, administrators and professionals from community colleges across the country.
