LCCC names new Tamaqua, Jim Thorpe director
Amber E. Zuber of Summit Hill has recently been named director of Site Educational Services at Lehigh Carbon Community College campuses in Tamaqua and Jim Thorpe.
At LCCC, she is responsible for the administrative operation of both sites, including enrollment management, budget, student services, classroom/lab needs, program/course schedules and faculty requests.
She will coordinate community partnerships and work with district schools, community organizations, and business and industry to identify programming, all with the goal to maintain a high quality academic environment for students, staff, faculty and the community.
Zuber earned her bachelor’s degree in English with a minor in gender studies from Cedar Crest College and her master’s degree in higher education and student affairs from The Ohio State University.
Zuber most recently served as director of Leadership and Service Programs at Lafayette College for more than 14 years.
While at Lafayette College, she piloted an attendance ambassador program with the United Way and two Easton elementary schools to engage Lafayette students with the Easton School District in an effort to promote regular attendance.
She served on numerous committees throughout Easton, and is an officer for the Panther Valley Elementary School PTO and the Summit Hill Recreation Commission.
