Lehigh Valley Wine Trail Month begins today

Published June 01. 2018 12:32PM

The Vintner’s Experience along the Lehigh Valley Wine Trail is a new monthlong event.

It is part of the new Lehigh Valley Wine Trail Month promotion that celebrates the 10th anniversary of the region being recognized as a Lehigh Valley American Viticultural Area in 2008. An AVA is a federal designation that officially recognizes the region for grape growing and wine making.

The monthlong event debuts today through Sunday and continues the next three full weekends of June through June 24.

The event takes place at the eight member wineries of the wine trail as follows:

Friday

• 4 p.m. at Blue Mountain Vineyards, New Tripoli

• 6 p.m. at Franklin Hill Vineyards, Bangor

Saturday

• 11 a.m. Galen Glen Winery, Andreas, and Vynecrest Winery, Breinigsville

• Noon, Tolino Vineyards, Bangor

• 1 p.m. Amore Vineyards, Nazareth

Sunday

• 2 p.m. Clover Hill Vineyards, Breinigsville

(Note: Pinnacle Ridge in Kutztown does not have a Vintner’s Experience this weekend.)

The Vintner’s Experience features unique experiences at each of the trail’s member wineries, which will expose customers to the wine making process in a fun and educational way. One ticket gets customers into all eight experiences.

Descriptions of experiences and a schedule can be found on the event website. Each winery’s experience is offered four times during the month. Tickets are available for sale online only at www.LehighValleyWineTrailMonth.com.
