Lehighton’s Hoats headed to Marywood

Lehighton’s Mackenzie Hoats has announced the she will continue her academic and field hockey career at Marywood University.

A four-year member of the varsity team, Hoats helped the Tribe win their first district title since 2010 this past season, one where she was named MVP and Offensive Player of the Year. Hoats recorded 11 goals and four assists this past season as a forward for Lehighton, which reach the district championship game for the third year in a row.

The daughter of Matt and Mell Hoats, Mackenzie will study social work at Marywood.
