Lehighton Borough Council

Lehighton Borough Council took the following action at a special meeting on Wednesday:

• Agreed to spend $5,500 to replace the heat pump loop control for the Annex building, which is anticipated to save the borough between $3,000 to $6,000.

• Accepted Steve Ebbert’s resignation from the Police Civil Service Commission.

• Approved John Kreitz to join the Police Civil Service Commission.

• Approved the seventh annual 5K Earth Day Hippie Run on April 18.

• Approved the 10th annual St. Luke’s Hospice Bike Ride on June 6.
