Lehighton Borough Council approved the following Monday:

• The purchase of police server — based on new proposals provided by DHTCS and Dell at a cost of $18,860.

• The modified request from Trinity Church for two additional handicapped parking spaces on Third Street from 8 a.m. to noon Sundays only.

• To discuss the snow removal ordinance and odd/even parking with the borough’s Public Works Department, and to possibly form a committee for further discussion.

• The Jim Thorpe River Sports Letter of Credit reduction #4 in the amount of $60,156 upon inspection by the borough engineer.

• The Unity Electric payment request #3 for $46,512 for the Iron and Bridge street upgrade project.

• A $30,000 payment from the general fund to the special highway fund for the Ashtown Bridge Project.

• A $30,000 payment from the special highway fund to the general fund for payroll.

• To allow officers of the police department to buy back and transfer handguns.

• The resignation letter from Louise Christman from the borough’s Parks & Recreation Board.

• Carol Ritter to the borough’s Parks & Recreation Board.

• Consideration on the approval for the 2018 Ragnar Relay Route through the borough on June 16.

• The annual $50 for a half-page Sports Hall of Fame ad.

• Denied a request from the Lehighton Boys & Girls Band to waive a building permit fee being the borough cannot pick up the inspections costs for the permit, and does not waive building permit fees.
