Congratulations Class of 1970

50 years is quite the accomplishment.

Just imagine you will be still paying the debt incurred by the school district for only a few more decades.

And once you die, it will be your children and children's children's burden. Did you even know you did a great job passing the burden. When you elected the likes of Wentz, Stern, Spinelli, Holland and Foeller, who vote to pass budgets like in Jan, you helped pass the burdens.

Leaving your legacy of debt by failing to keep your district board in check. Electing a group of nice neighbors that are poor politicians was our own downfall. Electing a big rubber stamp apparently was a mistake that we all will be paying for years to come.

Who are those reaping the rewards of mismanagement?

In this system it is the stakeholders that have the authority over the board. A board is elected to hire and oversee the administration and staff, not give them a blind-trust rubber-stamp.

Don't bother griping. The only means to access your authority as a stakeholder is to write a formal complaint.

This district failed to protect the students and save the community.
The staff, administration, Athletic Committee and coaches, and board either knew these students were allegedly being left alone or will plea they didn't know. Either way, The Lord of the Flies apparently taught them nothing.

We voted for a board that apparently

Passed a budget that exceeds expected revenue.
Failed to provide proper oversight.
Failed to have the students supervised, mitigating high risk situations
Failed to listen to the people
Failed to process verbal complaints
Blocked four board members from the financial records, hiring process, lawful transparency, incidents of student harm and student injuries.
Fears the idea of government transparency

Have a great time at the reunion. Pass the plate for those less fortunate at your descretion while you still have a few extra dollars. The Government's new budget will need hirer taxes, upwards of 20% to balance, or cuts in spending. By casting out all the fixed incomers, new family's with many children can occupy homes abandoned or sold. Gentrification is not just for MA, NJ, CA and NY you get a front row seat outside the legion.
