Lehighton man with active warrants faces drug charges

Nesquehoning police arrested a Lehighton man after they found him trying to shoot up drugs in his vehicle.

Police arrested Mark Geary, 38, on Wednesday afternoon when they saw him on the 300 block of West Catawissa Street.

Officers conducted a traffic stop and learned Geary had two active bench warrants out of Lehighton.

He was taken into custody and during the stop, police found crystal methamphetamine and heroin, as well as drug paraphernalia.

He was arraigned before District Judge Eric Schrantz and committed to Carbon County Correctional Facility on the bench warrants.

Drug charges are pending in the Nesquehoning case.
