Lehighton man killed in crash on Monday

A Lehighton man died in a crash on Monday in Lehigh County.

The Lehigh County coroner’s office said Ronald Dana Graver Jr., 51, of Lafayette Trail, died in a crash along Mountain Road, east of the turnpike, in Washington Township.

State police at Bethlehem said Graver was traveling eastbound on Mountain Road at 4:29 p.m. when he crossed over the double line into the westbound lane. Robert Green of Reservoir Road, Washington Township, was traveling westbound and was hit head-on by Graver.

Both cars came to rest partially on the roadway and the grassy berm.

Deputy coroner Jason Nicholas pronounced Graver dead at the scene at 5:25 p.m.

Green was transported by Nova EMS to Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest for treatment of injuries.

Assisting state police on scene were Emerald Fire Department and Rescue, Frieden’s Fire Department and Rescue, Northern Valley EMS, Fire Police and Carl’s Towing.
