Bethany EC Church, 222 North St. holds Sunday worship with the Rev. Jeff Stansbury, pastor.
Sunday school is at 9:30 a.m. with classes for all ages, including adult Bible study class, morning worship at 10:45 a.m., preschool nursery available and Jr. Church provided for children in kindergarten through sixth grade.
Wednesday: Prayer meeting, 7 p.m.
Thursday: Men’s Bible study at McDonald’s, 5:15 a.m.
In need of men’s new or slightly used casual clothing of all sizes and children sizes up to size 12 to be distributed at St. Peter’s community resource center. Clothing can be dropped off at side entrance to Bethany ECC Fridays from 10 a.m. to noon.
Looking ahead:
• T.P. Trot: 10 a.m. Aug. 18, this event will center around a 2-mile fun walk (jog or run) along the Weissport Canal. There will be music, food and fun for all ages. The event is to raise fund for the St. Peter’s Resource Center. Bring a donation of five toiletry items (toilet paper, soap, toothbrushes, toothpaste, etc.) for the pantry and your hot dog, chips and drink are free. Registration is available at Peter’s Facebook Page through Eventbrite.
• Bare Necessities Pantry: 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Aug. 25. St. Peter’s Resource Center, Main Road, Franklin Township.
• Lumber River Ministries, North Carolina: during 10:45 a.m. worship, Aug. 26. Community is welcome to enjoy great gospel music. Cool and comfortable sanctuary.

Crossroads Community Church, 580 Coal St. holds Sunday worship service with Pastor Jim Banks. It is a place for a fresh start with God.
Adult Sunday school at 9:30 a.m.; contemporary worship service at 10:30 a.m. with nursery available; children’s Sunday school at 11 a.m.; fellowship following service.
