Bethany EC Church
Bethany EC Church, 222 North St. holds Sunday worship with the Rev. Jeff Stansbury, pastor.
Sunday school is at 9:30 a.m. with classes for all ages, including adult Bible study class, morning worship at 10:45 a.m., preschool nursery available and Jr. Church provided for children in kindergarten through sixth grade. Christmas brunch following service.
Tuesday: Women’s Bible study, 10 a.m. at Blocker’s residence.
Wednesday: Prayer meeting, prayer devotional and singing, 7-8 p.m.
Thursday: Men’s Bible study at McDonald’s, 5:15 a.m.; choir practice, 7 p.m.
Saturday: Make, Bake, Pack & Take Christmas cookie baking event, 10 a.m. Saturday, fellowship hall.

• Kids Club: K-sixth grade, 6-7 p.m. second and fourth Tuesdays.
• Bethany EC Cantata: “Emmanuel! Your Light Has Come,” 10:45 a.m. Dec. 23.

Crossroads Community Church
Crossroads Community Church, 580 Coal St. holds Sunday worship service with Pastor Jim Banks. It is a place for a fresh start with God.
Adult Sunday school at 9:30 a.m.; contemporary worship service at 10:30 a.m. with nursery available; children’s Sunday school at 11 a.m.; fellowship following service.
Tuesday: Adult Bible study at 6:30 p.m., currently studying the book of Ephesians.
Communion: Last Sunday of the month.
Trinity happenings
Sunday worship with Holy Communion at Trinity Lutheran Church, 175 S. Third St., begins at 9:30 a.m. Gluten-free wafers are available for those with allergy issues. The Rev. Nancy Moore presides. Vicar Richard Bergen assists. Coffeehouse fellowship follows.
Sunday church school for students ages 3 through sixth grade begins at 10:45 a.m.
A reminder about food pantry: extended hours are available on the third Tuesday (Dec. 18) from 5:30-7 p.m. Due to Christmas and New Year’s Day occurring on the fourth and first Tuesdays, distribution will be Wednesdays, Dec. 26 and Jan. 2, during regular 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. hours.
Christmas Eve worship schedule with Holy Communion: 6 p.m., family worship with music by the Trinity Praise Band; 9 p.m., traditional worship with candlelight.
Appointments in December are available for individuals to arrange a baptismal date and/or congregational membership. Please call the church office at 610-377-4303 during business hours.
Looking ahead is the Annual Community New Year’s Day Pork and Sauerkraut meal held in Luther Hall. The dinner is free for a seating at 11:30 a.m. or 1 p.m., but reservations are required. In addition, volunteers are needed to prep, serve, clean up and bake. Please make your reservation by contacting the church office during regular business hours, by Dec. 28. The event is dine-in only.
