Bethany EC Cantata, “Emmanuel! Your Light Has Come,” 10:45 a.m., Dec. 23, Sunday school at 9:30 a.m. with classes for all ages, including adult Bible study class, preschool nursery available and Jr. Church provided for children in kindergarten through sixth grade. Crossroads Community Church

Crossroads Community Church, 580 Coal St., holds Sunday worship service with Pastor Jim Banks. It is a place for a fresh start with God.

Adult Sunday school at 9:30 a.m.; contemporary worship service at 10:30 a.m. with nursery available; children’s Sunday school at 11 a.m.; fellowship following service.

Tuesday: Adult Bible Study at 6:30 p.m., currently studying the book of Ephesians.

Dec. 24: Christmas Eve candlelighting service at 7 p.m.

Communion: Last Sunday of the month.

Trinity happenings

Sunday worship at Trinity Lutheran Church, 175 S. Third St., is at 9:30 a.m. The Rev. Nancy Moore presides. Vicar Richard Bergen assists. Coffeehouse fellowship follows.

Sunday church school classes for students age 3 through sixth grade begin at 10:45 a.m.

“Breaking Bread” youth group for students in grades 7-12 meets in the youth room at 5 p.m. Sundays. “Thunder and Lightning” youth group for students in grades 4-6 meets at 5 p.m. Wednesdays. Find them online at www.tlclehighton.com/Youth.asp or on Facebook. Vicar Rich Bergen is the director.

Christmas Eve worship with Holy Communion: 6 p.m. family worship with music by the Trinity Praise Band, 9 p.m. traditional worship with candlelight.

Appointments in December and January are available for individuals to arrange a baptismal date and/or congregational membership. Please call the church office at 610-377-4303 during business hours. The church office will be closed Dec. 25.

Looking ahead is the annual community New Year’s Day pork and sauerkraut meal held in Luther Hall. The dinner is free for a seating at 11:30 a.m. or 1 p.m., but reservations are required. In addition, volunteers are needed to prep, serve, clean up and bake. Please make your reservation by contacting the church office during regular business hours, by Dec. 28. The event is dine-in only.
