Trinity happenings
Sunday worship at Trinity Lutheran Church, 175 S. Third St., with Holy Communion is at 9:30 a.m. Christmas Eve 6 p.m. family worship with the Trinity Praise Band providing music; 9 p.m. traditional candlelight worship. Holy Communion is at both evening settings. Gluten free wafers are available to those with allergy issues. The Rev. Nancy Moore presides. Vicar Rich Bergen assists.
Sunday church school is on Christmas break from classes, resuming Jan. 7.
For those desiring to seek membership at Trinity or arranging a baptismal date, an appointment can be made with Pastor Moore by contacting the church office at 610-377-4303.
Trinity is hosting a community New Year’s dinner of pork and sauerkraut Jan. 1, 2018, in Luther Hall. Snow date is Jan. 2. This free event is dine-in only with seating at noon and 1 p.m. Reservations are required. Deadline to register by calling the church office is 3 p.m. Dec. 29.
Bethany EC Church
Bethany EC Church, 222 North St. holds Sunday worship with the Rev. Jeff Stansbury, pastor.
Sunday school is at 9:30 a.m. with classes for all ages, including adult Bible study class, fellowship time at 10:15 a.m., morning worship at 10:45 a.m., preschool nursery available and Jr. Church provided for children in kindergarten through sixth grade.
Monday: Kids Club, 6-7:15 p.m. each Monday.
Wednesday: prayer meeting, 7 p.m.
Thursday: Men’s Bible study at McDonald’s, 5:15 a.m.
Dec. 24: Christmas Eve Candlelight service, 7 p.m. Community and families welcomed.
