Bethany EC Church

Bethany EC Church, 222 North St. holds Sunday worship at 10:45 a.m. with the Rev. Timothy Ream, pastor.

Sunday school is at 9:30 a.m. with classes for all ages; fellowship time 10:15-10:45 a.m.

Thursday: 5 a.m., men’s Bible study at McDonald’s.

Crossroads Community Church

Crossroads Community Church, 580 Coal St., holds Sunday worship service with Pastor Kevin McGraw. It is a place for a fresh start with God.

Adult Sunday school at 9:30 a.m.; contemporary worship service at 10:30 a.m. with nursery available; children’s Sunday school at 11 a.m.; fellowship following service.

Midweek Bible study: Tuesdays at 6:30 p.m. Currently studying the book of Revelation.

Men’s fellowship breakfast: First Saturday of each month at 8:30 a.m.

Women’s fellowship breakfast: Third Saturday of each month at 9 a.m.

Communion: Last Sunday of the month.

Trinity highlights

Sunday worship of lessons and carols at Trinity Lutheran Church, 175 S. Third St., begins at 9:30 a.m. Included during this time is the “Service of Healing” and blessing of the prayer shawls. The Rev. Nancy Moore presides. Vicar Joshua Krenz assists. Coffeehouse fellowship follows.

The Service of Healing with prayers and the “laying on of hands” are said for those to help ease one’s emotional, physical and spiritual burdens. Prayer shawls are handmade by volunteers, and are to be used in times of joy or sorrow and ordinary times as a form of comfort during daily faith practices. The prayer shawls are available at no cost.

Students in grades 5-12 are invited to participate in food, conversation and youth group activities from 5-7 p.m. Dec. 29at the second floor youth room. Vicar Joshua Krenz is the youth adviser.

Appointments in December and January are available for individuals to arrange a baptismal date and/or congregational membership. Please call the church office at 610-377-4303 during business hours. The church office will be closed Jan. 1.
