Trinity happenings
Sunday worship at Trinity Lutheran Church, 175 S. Third St., begins at 9:30 a.m. The students of Sunday church school present the program “Just a Little Christmas” during the worship time. The Rev. Nancy Moore presides. Vicar Richard Bergen assists. Coffeehouse fellowship follows.
Christmas decorating of the nave takes place starting at 6 p.m. Dec. 8. All are invited to participate.

Upcoming Christmas Eve worship schedule includes 9:30 a.m. Service of the Word; 6 p.m. family worship with the Trinity Praise Band providing music; 9 p.m. Traditional Candlelight worship. Holy Communion is at both evening services.
Bethany EC Church
Bethany EC Church, 222 North St. holds Sunday worship with the Rev. Jeff Stansbury, pastor.
Sunday school is at 9:30 a.m. with classes for all ages, including adult Bible study class, fellowship time, 10:15 a.m. The Bethany ECC choir will present a cantata, “While Shepherds Watched,” during the 10:45 worship service. This musical incorporates traditional Christmas carols along with some contemporary songs as it tells the story of the Nativity with scripture and readings. Holly DeVivo will accompany the choir under the direction of Daniel Graver, Bethany’s organist and choir director
Monday: Kids Club, 6-7:15 p.m. each Monday.
Tuesday: Bible study, 10 a.m. at Blocker’s residence.
Wednesday: Revelation Bible study, 6 p.m.; prayer meeting, 7 p.m.
Thursday: Men’s Bible study at McDonald’s, 5:15 a.m.; choir practice, 7 p.m.
Saturday: Music and crafts at St. Peter’s Community Resource Center, Main Road, 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Pale Moon Players will be presenting at 1 p.m. and the Lehighton High School Show Choir will present delightful music at 4 p.m. Community welcome.
Looking ahead:
Dec. 16: 10 a.m.-1 p.m. participation in clothing ministry at Bare Essentials Pantry, St. Peter’s Community Resource Center.
Dec. 17: Celebrating Christ in Christmas with children during the 10:45 a.m. service followed by brunch. Bethany EC will participate in the Lehighton Borough Caroling Night from 6-8 p.m.
Dec. 24: Christmas Eve candlelight service, 7 p.m.
