Bethany EC Church, 222 North St. Come join Lehighton Heritage Weekend as it celebrates Interdenominational Community Church in the Park at 10 a.m. Sunday in the upper park in Lehighton. The community is welcome to celebrate through worship and music. In case of rain, the service will be held in Bethany EC Church across from park.

Trinity happenings
First Saturday worship with Holy Communion at Trinity Lutheran Church, 175 S. Third St., is at 5 p.m. Gluten-free communion wafers are available for those with allergy issues. Sunday worship is at 9:30 a.m. The Rev. Nancy Moore presides. Vicar Rich Bergen assists. The church is air-conditioned.

Join Vicar Rich Bergen for hamburgers, hot dogs and Bible study. Following the cookout at 6 p.m. July 16, the topic is Martin Luther’s four-stranded garland style of prayerful reflection. Following the cookout at 6 p.m. July 23, the topic of St. Ignatius’ imaginative prayer will be engaged. Contact the church office to preregister.
Registration forms are available in the church office or can be downloaded at tlclehighton.com for Vacation Bible School. “Splash Canyon: God’s promise on Life’s Wild Ride” is coming up Aug. 6-10, for children ages 3 through sixth grade, 6:30-8:30 p.m. There is no registration fee. Teen and adult volunteers are welcome to help; please contact the church office.
