Bethany EC Church

Bethany EC Church, 222 North St. holds Sunday worship with the Rev. Jeff Stansbury, pastor.

Sunday school is at 9:30 a.m. with classes for all ages, including adult Bible study class, fellowship time at 10:15 a.m., morning worship at 10:45 a.m., preschool nursery available and Jr. Church provided for children in kindergarten through sixth grade.

Tuesday: Ladies Bible study, 10 a.m. at Blocker’s residence.

Wednesday: prayer meeting, 7 p.m.

Thursday: choir practice, 7 p.m.

Friday: Wrapped in Prayer Ministry.

Crossroads Community Church

Crossroads Community Church, 580 Coal St. holds Sunday worship service with Pastor Jim Banks. It is a place for a fresh start with God.

Adult Sunday school at 9:30 a.m.; contemporary worship service at 10:30 a.m. with nursery available; children’s Sunday school at 11 a.m.; fellowship following service.

Communion: Last Sunday of the month.

St. John’s

St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, 826 Mahoning Drive West, Lehighton.

Carwash and bake sale: The youth group will be at Advanced Auto Parts from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. on Saturday.

Worship service: 9 a.m. Sunday and information congregational meeting.

Council meeting: 6:30 p.m. Monday.

JOY Group: 11 a.m. Tuesday.

Fundraising meeting: 6:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Seeking All Graduates: St. John’s would like to honor all our graduates. If you graduated this past December 2017 or will be graduating in May, June or August 2018, we would like to recognize your accomplishments. Notify Lynn in the church office by email at stjohns@ptd.net by June 30. Please provide us with your name, address and the name of the high school, college, trade school, etc. where you received your degree, the type of degree you received and what your plans are for the future. We will honor our graduates at a worship service in July 2018.

Trinity happenings

Sunday worship at Trinity Lutheran Church, 175 S. Third St., begins at 9:30 a.m. The Rev. Nancy Moore presides. Vicar Richard Bergen assists. Coffeehouse fellowship follows.

Registration forms are available in the church office or can be downloaded at tlclehighton.com for Vacation Bible School. “Splash Canyon: God’s promise on Life’s Wild Ride” is coming up Aug. 6-10, for children ages 3 through sixth grade, 6:30-8:30 p.m. There is no registration fee. Teen and adult volunteers are welcome to help; please contact the church office.
