Bethany EC Church
Bethany EC Church, 222 North St. holds Sunday worship at 10:45 a.m. with the Rev. Jeff Stansbury, pastor.
Sunday school is at 9:30 a.m. with classes for all ages, including adult Bible study class; fellowship time, 10:15 a.m.; preschool nursery available and Jr. Church provided for children in kindergarten through sixth grade.
Wednesday: Prayer meeting, 7 p.m.
Thursday: National Day of Prayer Ecumenical Service, 6-8 p.m., Lehighton, Upper Park.
Saturday: NE District Cleanup Day at Twin Pines, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Crossroads Community Church
Crossroads Community Church, 580 Coal St., holds Sunday worship service with Pastor Kevin McGraw. It is a place for a fresh start with God.
Adult Sunday school at 9:30 a.m.; contemporary worship service at 10:30 a.m. with nursery available; children’s Sunday school at 11 a.m.; fellowship following service.
Tuesday: Adult Bible study at 6:30 p.m., currently studying the book of 1 Thessalonians.
Communion: Last Sunday of the month.

Food pantry: The item for May will be cereal. You can bring your items to the church on May 5 and 12.

Book club: 6:30 p.m. May 14 in the family room. We will discuss Part Three (to the end) of “Eat, Pray, Love: One Woman’s Search for Everything across Italy, India and Indonesia” by Elizabeth Gilbert. Everyone is welcome.
Trinity highlights
First Saturday worship with Holy Communion at Trinity Lutheran Church, 175 S. Third St., is at 5 p.m. Sunday worship with Holy Communion begins at 9:30 a.m. Gluten-free wafers are available to those with allergy issues. The Rev. Nancy Moore presides. Vicar Richard Bergen assists. Coffeehouse fellowship is at 10:30 a.m.
Sunday church school for students ages 3 through sixth grade starts at 10:45 a.m.
First Tuesday quiet Communion starts at 10 a.m. on May 7.
“Breaking Bread” Youth Group for students in grades 7-12 meets 5-7 p.m. May 5 and 26 with a meal, Bible study with discussion and games. Vicar Rich is the adviser.
A four-session Bible study on the book of Ruth, being led by Vicar Rich, begins at 6:30 p.m. May 6. The Bible study continues May 13, May 16 and concludes May 23. Advance registration is requested.
Plans are being made for a Trinity church directory to be compiled. Photos dates and appointment times are available in late May. Please contact the church office for more information.
