Bethany EC Church
Bethany EC Church, 222 North St. holds Sunday worship with the Rev. Jeff Stansbury, pastor.
Sunday school is at 9:30 a.m. with classes for all ages, including adult Bible study class, morning worship at 10:45 a.m., preschool nursery available and Jr. Church provided for children in kindergarten through sixth grade.
Tuesday: Women’s Bible study, 10 a.m. at Blocker’s residence.
Kids Club: K-sixth grade, second and fourth Tuesdays, 6-7 p.m.
Wednesday: Prayer meeting, prayer devotional and singing, 7-8 p.m.
Thursday: Men’s Bible study at McDonald’s, 5:15 a.m.; choir practice, 7 p.m.
Saturday: Bare Necessities Pantry, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., St. Peter’s Resource Center, Franklin Township.
Urgent: In need of children’s winter clothing sizes 4-14 for St. Peter’s Resource Center. Drop at side door to Bethany EC on Friday from 10 a.m. to noon.

Crossroads Community Church
Crossroads Community Church, 580 Coal St., holds Sunday worship service with Pastor Jim Banks. It is a place for a fresh start with God.
Adult Sunday school at 9:30 a.m.; contemporary worship service at 10:30 a.m. with nursery available; children’s Sunday school at 11 a.m.; fellowship following service.
Tuesday: Adult Bible study at 6:30 p.m., currently studying the book of Ephesians.
Nov. 18: Deadline for our “Thanksgiving Blessing,” which is the collection of nonperishable items to benefit the local food bank.

Worship service: 6:30 p.m. Saturday with Holy Communion in the church hall for a more informal setting.

Trinity happenings
Sunday worship at Trinity Lutheran Church, 175 S. Third St., with Holy Communion is at 9:30 a.m. Music is provided by the Trinity Praise Band with guest vocalist Becky McFadden. The Rev. Nancy Moore presides. Vicar Richard Bergen assists. Coffeehouse fellowship follows.
The annual congregational meeting starts at 10:45 a.m. Sunday church school classes resume Nov. 25.

Looking ahead is Thanksgiving Eve Worship at 7 p.m. Nov. 21 at Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church, Fourth and Mahoning St. All are welcome.
At 3 p.m. Nov. 25, Trinity’s sanctuary choir, accompanied by orchestra including harp, presents “The Winter Rose,” a service of lessons and carols by Joseph Martin. The cantata is under the direction of Susan Lovejoy. Free admission; free will offering will be accepted.
