Trinity happenings

Sunday worship at Trinity Lutheran Church, 175 S. Third St., with Holy Communion is at 9:30 a.m. Gluten-free communion wafers are available for those with allergy issues. The Rev. Nancy Moore presides. Vicar Richard Bergen assists. Coffeehouse fellowship follows.

There are no Sunday church school classes Nov. 19 due to the annual meeting of the congregation starting at 10:45 a.m. All voting members are urged to attend. Sunday school classes will resume next week.

For those desiring to arrange a baptismal date, Pastor Moore will share information with parents Sunday at 1 p.m. For those desiring to seek membership at Trinity, Pastor Moore will provide information at 1 p.m. Nov. 26. Please contact the church office at 610-377-4303 in advance to register.

“Breaking Bread” youth group for students in grades 7-12 will gather from 5-7 p.m. Sunday in the youth room. There will be supper, Bible study and information on upcoming activities. “Thunder and Lightning” youth group for students in grades 4-6 will gather from 5-7 p.m. Nov. 29 in the youth room with a similar format. Vicar Rich Bergen is the adviser.

Looking ahead to Nov. 26, at 3 p.m. the sanctuary choir presents “Sing Joy to All the World,” a Christmas celebration, music by Lloyd Larson. The cantata is under the direction of Susan Lovejoy. The choir is accompanied by full orchestra including harp. A freewill offering will be accepted to benefit the food pantry.

Bethany EC Church

Bethany EC Church, 222 North St. holds Sunday worship with the Rev. Jeff Stansbury, pastor.

Sunday school is at 9:30 a.m. with classes for all ages, including adult Bible study class, morning worship at 10:45 a.m., preschool nursery available and Jr. Church provided for children in kindergarten through sixth grade. Evening worship, 7 p.m., fellowship hall.

Monday: Kids Club, 6-7:15 p.m. each Monday.

Wednesday: Revelation Bible study, 6 p.m.; prayer meeting, 7 p.m.

Thursday: Men’s Bible study at McDonald’s, 5:15 a.m.; choir practice, 7 p.m.

Looking ahead: A traditional worship service including Holy Communion will be held at 7 p.m. Thanksgiving eve.
