Bethany EC Church

Bethany EC Church, 222 North St. holds Sunday worship at 10:45 a.m. with the Rev. Timothy Ream, pastor.

Sunday school is at 9:30 a.m. with classes for all ages; fellowship time 10:15-10:45 a.m.; preschool nursery available and Jr. Church provided for children in kindergarten through sixth grade.

Crossroads Community Church

Crossroads Community Church, 580 Coal St., holds Sunday worship service with Pastor Kevin McGraw. It is a place for a fresh start with God.

Adult Sunday school at 9:30 a.m.; contemporary worship service at 10:30 a.m. with nursery available; children’s Sunday school at 11 a.m.; fellowship following service.

Midweek Bible study: Tuesdays at 6:30 p.m. Currently studying the book of Revelation.

St. John’s

St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church of Mahoning, 826 Mahoning Drive West, Lehighton.

Trinity highlights

Sunday worship at Trinity Lutheran Church, 175 S. Third St., begins at 9:30 a.m. Music is provided by the Trinity Praise Band. The Rev. Nancy Moore presides. Vicar Joshua Krenz assists. Coffeehouse fellowship hosted by Women of the ELCA follows.

Scouting for Food is a Boy Scouts of America project that has been going on for decades. Scouts will collect nonperishable food items outside your homes this Saturday morning. Items collected will be delivered to the Trinity Food Pantry, where people from the community will be assisted.

Sunday church school for students ages 3 through sixth grade begins at 10:45 a.m. There will be no Sunday church school next Sunday due to the annual congregational meeting, when council members will be elected and parish projects will be updated. Classes resume Nov. 24.

Students in grades 5-12 are invited to participate in food, conversation and youth group activities Sunday, 5-7 p.m., at the second floor youth room. November’s schedule includes gatherings at 5 p.m. each Sunday. Vicar Joshua Krenz is the youth adviser.

Women of the ELCA will gather in Luther Hall at 7 p.m. Nov. 14. Vicar Joshua Krenz will present the Bible study “Multiple Meanings — Prepare the Way of the Lord.” All are invited to attend. Refreshments will be served.

Trinity and Thrivent Member Network are joining in the collection of Pop Tabs from soft drink or soup containers. The collection will continue through the end of November to benefit Ronald McDonald House Charities. A box is available in the narthex or tabs may be dropped off at the church office during the week.

For those desiring to arrange a baptismal date, Pastor Moore will share information at 1 p.m. Nov. 17. Pastor Moore will share information for those desiring to seek membership at Trinity at 1 p.m. Nov. 24. Please contact the church office in advance at 610-377-4303 to register.
