Trinity happenings

Sunday worship at Trinity Lutheran Church, 175 S. Third St., begins at 9:30 a.m. Included in the service is observing Women of the ELCA Thankoffering with guest speaker Anissa Canova, a member of the churchwide board of directors. The Trinity Praise Band supplies the music. Coffeehouse fellowship follows.

Sunday church school for students ages 3 through sixth grade begins at 10:45 a.m.

The annual “Scouting for Food” drive is Saturday. Boy Scouts collect nonperishable food donations from porches throughout the community. Items received will be housed in the Trinity Food pantry for distribution in the upcoming weeks.

For those desiring to arrange a baptismal date, The Rev. Nancy Moore will share information at 1 p.m. Nov. 19. For those desiring to seek membership at Trinity, Moore will provide information at 1 p.m. Nov. 26. Please contact the church office at 610-377-4303 in advance to register.

“Breaking Bread” youth group for students in grades 7-12 will gather from 5-7 p.m. Nov. 19 in the youth room. There will be supper, Bible study and information on upcoming activities. “Thunder and Lightning” youth group for students in grades 4-6 will gather from 5-7 p.m. Nov. 29 in the youth room with a similar format. Vicar Rich Bergen is the adviser.

Bethany EC Church

Bethany EC Church, 222 North St. holds Sunday worship with the Rev. Jeff Stansbury, pastor.

Sunday school is at 9:30 a.m. with classes for all ages, including adult Bible study class, morning worship at 10:45 a.m., preschool nursery available and Jr. Church provided for children in kindergarten through sixth grade.

Monday: Kids Club, 6-7:15 p.m. each Monday.

Wednesday: Revelation Bible study, 6 p.m.; prayer meeting, 7 p.m.

Thursday: Men’s Bible study at McDonald’s, 5:15 a.m.; choir practice, 7 p.m.

Looking Ahead: A traditional worship service including Holy Communion will be held at 7 p.m. Thanksgiving Eve.
