Bethany EC Church
Bethany EC Church, 222 North St. holds Sunday worship with the Rev. Jeff Stansbury, pastor.
Sunday school is at 9:30 a.m. with classes for all ages, including adult Bible study class, morning worship at 10:45 a.m., preschool nursery available and Jr. Church provided for children in kindergarten through sixth grade.
Tuesday: Ladies Bible study, 10 a.m. at Blocker’s residence.
Wednesday: prayer meeting, prayer devotional and singing 7-8 p.m.
Thursday: Men’s Bible study at McDonald’s, 5:15 a.m.; choir practice, 7 p.m.
Friday: Wrapped in Prayer Ministry.
Saturday: Holy Bookworms at 10 a.m., Bethany EC.

Crossroads Community Church
Crossroads Community Church, 580 Coal St., holds Sunday worship service with Pastor Jim Banks. It is a place for a fresh start with God.
Adult Sunday school at 9:30 a.m.; contemporary worship service at 10:30 a.m. with nursery available; children’s Sunday school at 11 a.m.; fellowship following service.
Tuesday: Adult Bible study at 6:30 p.m., currently studying the book of Galatians.
Communion: Last Sunday of the month.
Trinity highlights
Sunday worship with Holy Communion at Trinity Lutheran Church, 175 S. Third St., Lehighton, begins at 9:30 a.m. Gluten-free wafers are available at both times for those with allergy issues. The Rev. Nancy Moore presides. Vicar Rich Bergen assists. Coffeehouse fellowship is at 10:30 a.m.
Sunday church school for students ages 3 through sixth grade begins at 10:45 a.m.
For those wishing to arrange a baptismal date, Pastor Moore will share information at 1 p.m. Sunday. For those wishing to seek membership at Trinity, Pastor Moore will provide information at 1 p.m. Oct. 28. Contact the church office at 610-377-4303 in advance to register.
“Breaking Bread” youth group for students in grades seven-12 will meet in the youth room from 5-7 p.m. Sunday. Led by Vicar Bergen, there will be supper and an overview of his pilgrimage to Rome to witness the canonization of Archbishop Oscar Romero.
Trinity’s former vicar from 2016-17, Lauren Heywood, will be installed as pastor at St. David’s Lutheran Church, 9169 Academy Road, Philadelphia, at a worship service celebration Nov. 4. A chartered bus will depart Lehighton at 12:30 p.m. and return near 7 p.m. Limited seats are available. Contact the church office during business hours for further information.
