Lehighton police cruiser involved in crash
A Lehighton borough police cruiser was involved in a crash on Sunday at the intersection of North Ninth and Mahoning streets. State police at Lehighton investigated the crash.
Troopers said at 6:11 p.m. Officer Trevin M. Green, 24, of Lehighton, was driving the cruiser, a 2017 Ford Explorer, and was westbound on Mahoning Street en route to a call with lights and siren activated.
At this time Irena C. Gramiak, 37, of Philadelphia, driving a 2014 Chevrolet Traverse, was traveling through the intersection on Ninth Street after receiving a green light. As both vehicles entered the intersection Green went through a red light and then maneuvered his vehicle to the left and collided with the Chevrolet, going an estimated 45 mph. Gramiak and her passengers were not injured.
Green sustained a suspected minor injury and was treated at the scene by Lehighton EMS unit personnel, troopers said.

As for the Police Car?
You win some... You loose some. In this case, they'll come out equal. Justifies that purchase... right?
I'm thinking the Police never did make it to that call, turning this in to a Loose, Loose, situation.
Chin up officer, hope nobody was hurt.
Tough job being a Police officer.
