Lehighton state police investigate thefts

State police at Lehighton reported on several incidents investigated by troopers.

• A 62-year-old man from Interchange Road, Towamensing Township, reported he paid for a cellphone via PayPal from a website “Offer Up” but never received the phone. The victim paid $400 for the phone.

• A 63-year-old woman from East Penn Township, reported someone opened a electronic Samsung and Dell accounts in her name without her knowledge or permission. The unknown person ordered a Dell computer that was mailed to the victim’s home. The incident was reported on Nov. 14.

• Two incidents were reported Nov. 14 at Route 248 and Center Street in Parryville. A Tamaqua resident reported seven stolen wheels and a Lehighton man reported numerous vandalized vehicles.
