Lehighton students take top honors in engineering event

    The team from Lehighton Area High School beat out 11 other high school teams from throughout northeast and eastern Pennsylvania to take top honors in Wilkes University’s annual Engineering Olympics. The teams competed in five different events where they solved engineering problems such as creating a mouse trap powered by energy. The 2018 event was held on April 13 in the Arnaud C. Marts Sports and Conference Center. The winning team’s members will each receive a $1,000 scholarship annually for four years if they attend Wilkes University.
