Local miners earn safety award

The Federal Mine Safety & Health Administration (MSHA) has recognized the Little Italy-Nesquehoning crew at Lehigh Anthracite Coal LLC for working 19,723 hours with zero lost time injuries in 2017. This was the small surface coal mining group’s second consecutive award for safety.
