Four area teams remained undefeated after picking up wins on Thursday.

The Jim Thorpe boys, along with the Panther Valley, Tamaqua and Weatherly girls all remained perfect in the early going.

BOYS BASKETBALL

Minersville-J. Thorpe

Jim Thorpe remained undefeated with a 51-44 non-league win over Minersville.

The Olympians (3-0) received 15 points from both Nate Rosahac and Adam Lauer.

Bryce Ellinger of Minersville led all scorers with 17 points.

Thorpe also captured the JV game by a 70-31 score.

Nate Keller’s 17 points propelled Northern Lehigh to a 51-36 Colonial League win over Southern Lehigh.

The Bulldogs’ Preston Kemery netted double figures with 11 points, while Brandon Hess chipped in with 10.

Chris Andrews finished with a Spartans-best 15 points.

Northern Lehigh improves to 2-2 overall and 1-1 in Colonial League play.

GIRLS BASKETBALL

Panther Vy.-Tri-Valley

Erika Dubosky poured in a game-high 24 points to help Panther Valley edge Tri-Valley in a non-league contest, 37-33.

Megan Pascoe added 11 points as the Panthers upped their record to a perfect 4-0.

Tri-Valley received a team-high 10 points from Emily Romberger.

The Panthers stayed unblemished at 4-0 with the win.

Emily Shaud’s 20-point performance highlighted Marian’s 63-26 non-conference win over Oley Valley.

The Fillies’ duo of Isabella Schwabe and Julia Kreisl added 14 and 12, respectively.

Lindsey Williamson led the Lynx with 20 points.

Marian improved to 1-1 with the win.

Jada Saeger paced the Bulldogs with a 16-point performance.

The Spartans’ Olivia Snyder finished with a game-high 20 points, while Ellie Cassel added 18.

Tamaqua-Kutztown

Emma Kuczynski’s double-double highlighted Tamaqua’s 69-26 non-conference victory over Kutztown.

Kuczynski scored a season-high 24 points and pulled down 15 rebounds to lead the Blue Raiders, who improved to 4-0. Teammate Jen Frederickson added 10 points.

Emily Titus just missed a double-double, finishing with nine points and 10 rebounds.

Emily Zoscin’s 20-point performance sparked Weatherly to a 54-13 non-conference win over Salem Christian Academy.

The Wreckers’ Abby Hernandez had 12 points, while Megan Peifer finished with 11.

Sara Nagy scored seven points to lead the Eagles.

The win lifted Weatherly’s record to 3-0.
