The Tamaqua girls rolled to a big win over Panther Valley on Thursday.

GIRLS BASKETBALL

Tamaqua-Panther Valley

Emma Kuczynski registered a triple-double to lead Tamaqua to an 80-41 Schuylkill League victory over Panther Valley.

Kuczynski scored a game-high 27 points, pulled down 11 rebounds and handed out 10 assists.

The Blue Raiders (17-4; 10-4), who close regular-season play tonight against Tri-Valley, also received 22 points and eight boards from Emily Titus. Jamie Zuber chipped in with 11 points.

Erika Dubosky tallied 18 points for the Panthers (5-17; 0-14), while Sera Robin contributed 10.

Jim Thorpe-N. Schuylkill

North Schuylkill prevented Jim Thorpe from finishing Schuylkill League play undefeated, as the Spartans posted a 67-55 victory.

Mya Wetzel scored 10 of her game-high 17 points in the fourth quarter as North Schuylkill (17-5; 12-2) used a 21-10 final frame to seal the win.

The Olympians (20-2; 13-1), who still clinched the Division 1 title, received 15 points and six assists from Skyler Searfoss. Olivia Smelas tallied 11 points, pulled down 10 boards and dished out six assists, while Mackenzie Yuhas finished with 10 points.

Pottsville-Lehighton

Pottsville hit five three-pointers in the fourth quarter to help rally the Crimson Tide to a 44-42 Schuylkill League win over Lehighton.

Kaile Conrad had a team-high 14 points for Pottsville (6-16; 5-9), which outscored the Indians 17-9 in the final frame.

Aaliyah Fisher paced Lehighton (8-14; 4-10) with a game-high 20 points while Hailey Miller chipped in with nine.

The Indians won the JV game, 37-25.

Shenandoah Valley jumped out to a big lead and never looked back, as it defeated Weatherly by a 56-26 score.

Victoria Donovan scored a game-high 18 points for Shenandoah (9-13; 4-9), who blanked the Wreckers in the opening quarter.

Weatherly (2-19; 0-13) received a team-high 11 points from Emma Kane.

Panther Valley topped Jim Thorpe, 52-31.

Chase Weaver led the Panthers with 13 points while Drew Kokinda chipped in with 11 and Eli Maynard added 10.

Panther Valley topped North Schuylkill, 39-27.

Chase Weaver led the Panthers with 12 points. Drew Kokinda added nine points.

Ty Chambers paced the Spartans with nine points.

Panther Valley edged Jim Thorpe, 29-27.

Eli Maynard led the Panthers with 10 points and Brady Jones added seven.

Cristian Barile led Jim Thorpe with 17 points.

Panther Vy.-N. Schuylkill

Panther Valley picked up a 47-23 win over North Schuylkill.

Brady Jones led the Panthers with 16 points, and Connor Penberth added nine.

Mike Grow had 14 points for the Spartans.
