Other area winners in boys basketball included Palmerton, Weatherly and Lehighton. Marian lost its game, but Tyler Fritz reached a milestone by scoring his 1,000th career point.

Marian’s Tyler Fritz made history, but Nativity walked away with a 66-58 Schuylkill League win.
Fritz scored his 1,000th career point, finishing with 28 on the night. Before the accomplishment, Fritz drained a three-pointer to record the Colts’ 100,000th point in the program’s history.
Dante Agosti added 13 points for Marian (6-6), while Kegan Hertz led the Hilltoppers (5-5) with 17 points.

Dylan Parris led the Spartans (7-3) with 17 points.

The Blue Raiders cruised to a 61-19 win in the boys meet, and swam away with a 93-20 victory on the girls side.
Tamaqua’s Gauge Hartney touched the wall first in the 200 freestyle and 100 butterfly, while Zeno Zukovich (100 Free) and Ian Machay (100 Back) also picked up wins.
Madelyn Jones won multiple events for the Lady Raiders, with wins in the 200 and 500 freestyle.
Maura Walker (200IM), Brianna Dumond (50 Free), Sarah Maue (100 Fly) and Kayla Sherry (100 Breaststroke) all posted first-place finishes for Tamaqua.
