Franklin Township picked up a win in the Panther Valley 11-12-year-old Little League Tournament on Thursday.

Franklin Township cruised to a 13-3 victory over Jim Thorpe Blue in the Panther Valley 11-12-year-old Little League Tournament.

John Light and Mike Gelatko both finished with three hits for Franklin Township, including Gelatko’s three-run home run in the third inning.

Aidan Albert followed with two hits for the winners, while Keyden Ahner, Zoltan Bedocs, Elliot Ahner and Cole Dietz all added a single.

Franklin Township will face Anthracite on Saturday.

Jim Thorpe’s Connie Mack playoff game was postponed Thursday and will resume tonight at 6 p.m. at Southern Lehigh.

Thorpe leads the contest, which began Wednesday, 3-0 after five innings.
