BASEBALL
Lehighton-Palmerton
A four-run third inning helped Palmerton secure a 5-3 non-league win over Lehighton.
Tanner Burnett had three hits, one a double, two RBIs and a run for the Blue Bombers (12-7). Ben Serfass added three hits and a pair of runs.
For the Indians (3-14), Mason Barndt had a hit, a run and two RBIs.

Mahanoy Area-Panther Valley
Ten different Panther Valley players recorded a hit during its 10-0 Schuylkill League victory over Mahanoy Area.
Josh Robin collected two hits and knocked in two runs for the Panthers (12-6; 9-3), while Jake Taras also finished with a pair of hits. PV, which broke the game open with a six-run fourth inning, also received a double and three RBIs from Chuck Byers.
The pitching trio of Mason Goida, Derek Pavlik and Taras combined on the one-hit shutout.

Western Wayne-Marian
Mike Minchhoff and Alex Kubishin both slugged home runs to help lift Marian to a 4-3 non-league victory over Western Wayne.
Minchhoff delivered a game-tying three-run homer in the third inning, while Kubishin blasted a solo shot in the fifth.
Minchhoff finished with two hits for the Colts (12-5), while Colin Eisenhower pitched five innings and struck out five to earn the win.

Tamaqua-Mahanoy Area
Jada Schellhammer used her bat and arm to spark Tamaqua to a 11-5 non-league victory over Mahanoy Area.
After a rough first inning in which she allowed five runs, Schellhammer settled in and kept the Golden Bears scoreless the rest of the way. Schellhammer finished with two walks and six strikeouts.
The winning pitcher helped herself at the plate with a 5-for-5 performance, which included a double and three RBIs.
Tamaqua (11-8) also received four hits from, Jen Frederickson, including a double and three runs, while Bryn Clifford finished with three hits, a run and an RBI. Ella McLaughlin added two hits and three RBIs, and Gabby Robb contributed a pair of hits, a run and an RBI.

Schuylkill Valley handed Marian a 10-1 non-league defeat.
