Tamaqua dropped an overtime game in girls soccer action on Friday.

Pottsville-Tamaqua

An Alexa Cesari goal with 2:19 left in the second overtime gave Pottsville a 2-1 Schuylkill League victory over Tamaqua.

Sandy Day had the other Crimson Tide goal.

Lexi Thomas scored with 15:43 remaining in regulation to tie the score.

The Tide had a22-3 advantage in shots and an 8-2 edge in corners.

Baylee Reinhardt had 18 saves in goal for Tamaqua, which fell to 11-6 on the season.

FIELD HOCKEY

Lehighton-Moravian Academy

Lehighton defeated perennial power Moravian Academy, 2-1, in a non-league game.

The victory clinches the No. 1 seed in the District 11 Class 1A tournament for the Indians.
