The Lehighton girls basketball team picked up a win against Panther Valley on Thursday night. The Northwestern, Marian and Weatherly girls basketball teams also earned victories.

Tamaqua swept Schuylkill Haven in swimming action.

GIRLS BASKETBALL

Panther Valley-Lehighton

A big second half helped Lehighton roll to a 62-37 Schuylkill League win over Panther Valley.

Aubrey Blasiak and Skylynn Faust both scored 20 points for the Indians (10-2; 5-1), who outscored the Panthers 34-19 after the intermission.

Erika Dubosky’s 19 points paced the Panthers (5-9; 0-7).

Jessica Williamson led a balanced Northwestern attack in a 67-51 Colonial League victory over Moravian Academy.

Williamson had 17 points, while Sydney Sevrain (13), Abigail Chisdak (10) and Gabrielle Sevrain (10) also scored in double figures for the Tigers.

Maya Ettle’s 27 points led the Lions.

Brianna Dumond (200-yard freestyle), Jeff Letterhouse (200 IM), Caroline Balogach (50-yard freestyle), Madelyn Jones (500-yard freestyle), Sarah Maue (100-yard breaststroke) and Nathan Steigerwalt (100-yard backstroke) also picked up wins for the Blue Raiders.
