Elsewhere, Palmerton’s tennis squad gained a doubleheader sweep.

Pleasant Valley scored a run in the top of the eighth inning to edge East Stroudsburg South 3-2 in Eastern Pennsylvania Conference play.
Nick Gattuso was 2-for-4 with an RBI for the Bears (4-2).
James Gehr added two hits, and Brent Beck recorded a double.

The Palmerton boys earned a split in a Colonial League tri-meet.
The Blue Bombers defeated Saucon Valley 84-65, but fell to Bangor 79-71.
Jordan Nelson (110H, 300H) won two events for Palmerton, while Aaron Stasko (100), Jacob Martinez (800), Josh Mooney (discus), and Chris Fredericks (javelin) also posted victories.
In the girls meet, Palmerton was swept, losing to Saucon (82-68) and Bangor (76 1/2-72 1/2).
The Bombers received a pair of wins from Madison Martinez (100H, 300H), while Destiny Mokshefski (400) also claimed an event.

The Blue Bombers defeated the Olympians in both matches, winning by scores of 5-0 and 4-1.
The Bombers’ Nate Andress, Mattis Willuhn and Marc Roselli posted singles wins in both matches.
The lone win from the Olympians came from the doubles team of Connor Rodgers and Matt Widdicombe in the second match.
