Lehighton’s boys and girls both posted wins in basketball action on Tuesday.

The Tamaqua boys and Northwestern girls also earned victories, as did the Tamaqua girls swim team.

BOYS BASKETBALL

Tamaqua-Jim Thorpe

The Gregoires combined for 22 points to help Tamaqua post a 47-35 Schuylkill League win over Jim Thorpe.

Gabe Gregoire recorded a game-high 14 points for the Blue Raiders (16-5; 9-4), while Lucas finished with eight. The winners also received nine points from Michael Bonetsky.

For the Olympians (11-10; 5-8), Nate Rosahac produced a team-high 12 points. Justin Marykwas and Nick Rosahac each chipped in with eight.

In the JV game, Tamaqua earned a 66-44 win.

Minersville-Lehighton

Addison Howland poured in a team-high 22 points to help Lehighton post its first league win of the season.

TaQuan Bradley-Chambers added 21 points as the Indians (3-18; 1-12) defeated Minersville by a 60-56 score.

In the JV game, Minersville gained a 55-48 victory.

Northwestern-Catasauqua

Northwestern couldn’t overcome a 36-point performance from Isaiah Graves, who powered Catasauqua to a 70-61 Colonial League victory.

Sam Yadush netted a team-high 24 points for the Tigers, who finished the regular season with a 12-10 record and 9-9 league mark.

Northwestern also received 18 points from Deven Bollinger and 11 from Sean McCann.

In the JV game, the Roughies posted a 72-60 win.

Weatherly-Lourdes

Thomas Schultz scored 28 points as Lourdes pulled away from Weatherly for a 77-36 Schuylkill League victory.

The Wreckers, who saw the Red Raiders put up 31 points in the first quarter, received a team-high nine points from Scotty Zoscin and eight from Steph Yurchek.

Weatherly, which won the JV game behind 18 points from Mason Gerhart, dropped to 9-11. The Wreckers can clinch a district playoff berth with wins in their final two games.

GIRLS BASKETBALL

Lehighton-Panther Valley

Skylynn Faust and Aubrey Blasiak combined for 56 of Lehighton’s points in a 60-54 Schuylkill League victory over Panther Valley.

Faust finished with a game-high 37 points, including 13 during the fourth quarter, for the Indians (14-7; 9-4). Blasiak ended with 19 points, 13 of them coming in the second frame.

The Panthers (6-16; 1-13) received a team-high 18 points from Erika Dubosky. Christina Dacey added 14, while Rachelle Filer chippedDuboskyh nine.

In the JV game, Lehighton earned a 41-15 victory.
