A look back: April 17, 1968

Eugene S. Durigan, president of the board of directors, and Dr. Richard Gladding, chief of staff, have announced the appointment of two physicians to the Gnaden Huetten Memorial Hospital staff, Lehighton.

They are Jose E. Dait, M.D., and Guadencio Dizon, M.D., who will conduct a joint practice in the Jim Thorpe office used by the late Dr. James J. Dougherty at 5 W. Broadway.

Both Dr. Dait and Dr. Dizon are natives of the Philippine Islands and had spent parts of their careers on the staff at the Wilmington Medical Center, Wilmington, Delaware. At Gnaden Huetten, Dait will practice in urology while Dizon will be in general surgery.
