A look back: April 19, 1995
Members of the Carbon County Planning Commission yesterday approved subdivision plans that will smooth the way for 84 Lumber to begin construction of a store on Route 443 in Mahoning Township.
Jim Zaunick, project engineer, said the plan calls for developing 6.5 acres which are part of 39.4 acres known as McCall Farms. The board approved plans submitted by Eugene S. Durigan.
The parcel to be utilized by the lumber company is 300 feet wide and 946 feet deep, Zaunick said the retail portion of the building will be set back 1,300 feet from the Route 443 highway while three storage sheds will be built in the rear of the store.
