A look back: April 2, 1994
The Carbon County Commissioners, at their regular meeting this week, on a 2-1 vote appointed Lehighton attorney George T. Dydynsky as the county’s fourth public defender.
Dydynsky will join attorneys Steven Vlossak, Robert Yurchak and Gregory Mousseau in the office.
He will receive an annual salary of $18,500.
Commissioner John Mogilski opposed the move supported by commissioners Dean D.W. DeLong and Thomas C. Gerhard. He asked why attorney Cynthia Ray of Weatherly was not nominated for the position. He said Ray was recommended for the position by Sen. James J. Rhoades.
