A look back: April 3, 1975

John A. Lindemann, 331 Lafayette St., was presented the Citizenship Award at the 25th Annual Tamaqua Area Chamber of Commerce and TIDE Dinner held last night at the National Guard Armory, Hometown.

The presentation was made by Robert F. Miller, who served as president of the chamber of commerce for three terms.

Miller referred to the many activities for the betterment of Tamaqua in which Lindemann has participated, noting he has worked with the Boy Scouts, Bungalow Park Commission, United Fund and the many drives for funds in Tamaqua, as well as being a past member of the Tamaqua Planning Commission, president of the Tamaqua Lease Corporation, active in the establishment of the Tamaqua Hi-Rise and a member of the TIDE board.
