A look back: April 9, 1974

The Golden Deeds award of the Palmerton Exchange Club will go to Daniel Renshaw of 439 Lehigh Ave., Palmerton, it was announced today.

A retired employee of the New Jersey Zinc Co., Palmerton, Renshaw will be honored on the occasion during the 27th annual dinner program on April 23 at the Holy Trinity Lutheran parish hall.

He retired in 1971 after 48 years of service at the zinc company, having started as a metal section helper in the research department and later working in the sociological department and as a chauffeur in the personnel department. He is an active member of Holy Trinity, serving as a deacon and on the council. He was also a staff member of the former Palmerton Neighborhood House.
