A look back: Aug. 16, 1957
Three bankers and three bank directors from Carbon County have enrolled in the sixth annual PA Bankers’ Association Summer School and the second annual PSA Directors’ Seminar.
The bankers include Mildred W. Snyder, Dime Bank, Lansford; L. Haworth Hoffmeier, Bank of Lehighton; and Rex M. Peters, Citizens Bank and Trust Co., Palmerton.
They will be joined by bank directors Gordon T. Bennett, Donald Eckman and James Fauzio of the Bank of Lehighton.
The sessions will be held concurrently at Bucknell University, Lewisburg, and will include classes in bank lending and bank operations and directors’ responsibilities in attracting and developing bank programs.
