A look back: Dec. 5, 1994

Ben P. Houser Jr., M.D., and Donald A. Newman, M.D., announced the formation of a permanent partnership, the ophthalmology practice to now be known as Houser Newman Associates.

Houser said he and his new partner will continue to provide a comprehensive practice of ophthalmology, which includes all aspects of the diagnosis and treatment of the medical and surgical problems of the eye, including routine family eye care.

The practice traces back to Ben P. Houser Sr., M.D., having started it in 1937. His son entered the practice in 1969.

Newman has been associated with Houser’s business since 1988.
