A look back: December 12, 1999
The Bach and Handel Chorale performed its annual Christmas concert yesterday afternoon in the beautifully decorated St. John’s Lutheran Church in the heights section of Jim Thorpe.
Special guest Rachel Plechavy accompanied the chorale on “Bethlehem Wind.” Soprano Katherine Plechavy was featured in “Gesu Bambino,” and joined tenor Peter Harer in the Advent carol, “When Came in Flesh the Incarnate Word.”
The chorale is conducted by founder and music director, Randall Douglas Perry. Last week, the chorale celebrated the completion of its 15th year with a concert featuring works by Perry.
