A look back: December 16, 1994
The Carbon County Area Vocational-Technical School held its annual reorganization meeting last night, unanimously approving Larry Engle of the Palmerton Area School District as its chairman.
Engle takes over for longtime committee chairman John Gunsser, who was replaced as Jim Thorpe’s representative to the committee by Charles J. McHugh Jr.
Mark Steber of Lehighton succeeds Engle as vice chairman and Marie Kutza of Panther Valley and Gerard Grega of Weatherly complete the committee.
Following reorganization, the committee approved Panther Valley School District Business Manager Jeffrey Deutsch as the CCAVTS’s acting business manager at a salary of $39,900.
