A look back: February 15, 2008
Carbon County District Attorney Gary F. Dobias has been elected president of the Pennsylvania District Attorneys Association.
Dobias, who has been the county’s DA since 1992, said it is an honor to be elected to lead the organization and he looks forward to working with his fellow district attorneys on improving the criminal justice system while working with police and law enforcement to continue to make the state a safe place to live.
Last year, Dobias was re-elected to his fifth four-year term as the county’s top prosecutor. He has been a member of the office since 1980, serving as an assistant to then District Attorney Richard Webb, who has since been elected county judge.
