A look back: February 24, 1978

The Coaldale High Complex elected officers and returned Ronald Plocinik as its president during a meeting held in the former high school.

Other officers are Joseph Matukonis, vice president; Pay Stahler, treasurer; Olga Tomasovich, secretary; and Jean Perchik, corresponding secretary.

Five new members were also received into the commission fold, including Joseph Hnat, David Hnat, Larry Paulo, and Robert and Nancy Kozak.

The board gave a “go ahead” signal to begin work immediately on installation of a new kitchen in the former school building. The renovation is a necessity sine food and refreshments are prepared and served on the premises during a number of social events and activities.
