More than 300 guests paid tribute to Nesquehoning’s newly elected Mayor John Nalesnik for his human interests, ideals and civic leadership during a testimonial dinner held in his honor yesterday at the Nesquehoning Recreation Center.
He was referred to as a sympathetic and sentimental person with qualities of a man with great interest in borough affairs.
Among the participants in the program included John Angst of Nesquehoning, attorney John P. Lavelle of Lehighton, attorney Marianne Shutack Lavelle of Lansford Mayor George Demetriades. The Rev. Paul Barnyock and William Poluka and James V. Macalush, chairman and assistant chairman of the testimonial committee, respectively.
