A look back: Jan. 17, 1984
About 100 people attended a dedication service for a new Christian Education Building at Salem Bible Fellowship Church, Lehighton R.1, on Sunday.
The single-story, 36-by-24-foot addition to the church cost $21,000 to erect. The Rev. Larry Carpenter, pastor, said the new addition is debt-free.
A highlight during the service was the presentation of keys by Rich Thompson, a representative of Love Homes, Allentown, to Clair Greenzweig, chairman of the building committee.
The main speaker was the Rev. Ronald Mahurin, pastor of Cedar Crest Bible Fellowship Church, Allentown.
